Inverness Real Ale Festival

Celebrating its 5th anniversary, this year's Inverness Beer Festival is hosted at The Castle Tavern, awarded the prestigious title of The Inverness City Real Ale Pub of the Year 2008.
The Castle Tavern has an ever changing rota of Local and Scottish Ales comprising of many award winning ones and has its very own Flora Macdonald, specially brewed by the Isle of Skye Brewery in honour of the lady herself whose statue stands in the Inverness Castle Grounds directly opposite the Tavern itself.
The Inverness Gaelic Choir will open the festival on the Friday Evening whilst "Jock" the Box will be providing the entertainment for a Scottish Afternoon on Sunday the 27th. Other entertainment is planned and will be confirmed at a later stage. Raffles will be running all during the week and the Tavern will be putting 50p in the kitty for every pint sold at the festival and the proceeds going to the Gaelic Choir to help with their planned trip to Canada in October.
